Dr. Franklin Singh

Qualifications:

Dr. Franklin Singh is a Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Province of Alberta. After completing his studies in Christian education and therapeutic counselling, Dr. Singh pursued his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Laurentian University of Sudbury, a graduate degree in Behavioural Medicine (MBMed) from Northcentral University, and a Doctorate (PsyD) with a specialization in Neuropsychology from the Faculty of Behavioral Health at the International University. He also holds a second doctorate (PhD) in Counselling from Trinity College-the University of Liverpool. Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology.

Before starting his work with Prairie Neurohealth Clinic as chief Neuropsychologist and executive clinical director more than a decade ago, Dr. Singh completed his residency in clinical neuropsychology with the pediatric population at Alberta Health Services in Grand Prairie and with an adult psychiatric population at Alberta Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, in Edmonton, Alberta.

In addition to the clinical work, where he is involved in providing direct care to patients with neurocognitive and neuropsychiatric conditions, Dr. Singh is a sought-after medical-legal expert. He has performed 1000s of medical-legal evaluations and he has been qualified as an expert in Clinical Neuropsychology by the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Automobile Injury Appeal Commission of Saskatchewan. He has rendered oral testimonies in court as an expert within his area of specialty in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Clinical Interests:

A vast majority of Dr. Singh's clinical work includes examining and treating patients with traumatic brain injury/concussion and comorbid neuropsychiatric conditions resulting from motor vehicle accidents and other traumatic experiences.

Additionally, Dr. Singh has extensive training and expertise in providing neuropsychological assessments, diagnoses, and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults suffering with or suspected to have neurodevelopmental disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder-ADHD and Learning Disorders, early cortical and subcortical dementias, cerebrovascular accident or stroke, neurocognitive impairments resulting from traumatic/acquired brain injuries, chronic depression, stress, substance abuse, and other psychological conditions.
